TO REACH ONE
Changing one life can change a household, a community, a nation
The Reach One Child Foundation (ROC) is a registered non-profit committed to providing scholarships, mentorship and motivational workshops for Jamaican youths since 2005. Our aim is to empower youths to become their best selves, support them to be positive change agents, influencers and innovators in their communities as they work together to make great contributions to Jamaica and the world.
OUR PROGRAMS
ROC School Tour
The R.O.C school tour supports primary school educators by engaging grades 4-6 students in lively educational workshops . The sessions are led by Cherine Anderson and the team of R.O.C mentors, from professional backgrounds including law, aviation, sports, IT, medicine, media, business and real estate.
ROC Club International
The R.O.C. Club International is a student-led scholastic and service club established in select East Kingston primary schools. The mission of the Club is to provide its students with the opportunity to be positive citizens of change in their school and community. Students must be between the ages of 9 - 12 years old to participate.
ROC Scholarship
R.O.C Scholarship Program was established in 2013 to further assist motivated 6th grade students with verifiable financial needs throughout their high school years. The program awards yearly scholarships and works to support scholastic excellence, and encourage community building among scholarship recipients.
ROC Kids Fest
The annual ROC Kids Fest is the premier initiative of The Reach One Child Foundation. Started in 2013, the one-day festival serves to increase public awareness of our outreach projects and campaigns and raise funds for them through a series of arts and sports based activities.
ROC YESS
#ROCYESS - Youths Empowering Self and Society - is the mentorship program for ROC Scholars. We aim to provide our scholars with continued support through a series of workshops as well as accountability partners during their secondary school years.
Groove Campus
Groove Campus is a groundbreaking venture aimed at connecting leading musical bands with student-led outreach projects to promote education, creativity, entertainment and social responsibility. Groove Campus helps to kick- start fundraising efforts for student-led projects through a series of live on-campus concerts.
Founded by Cherine Anderson and Patrick Lindsay, Reach One Child Foundation is nonpartisan and works closely with other charities, activists and policy makers. We believe that it is the responsibility of every Jamaican to help parents, schools and by extension communities to prepare tomorrow’s leaders.
